Mark James, aka as #ManInTheHat, is a vocal coach and singing teacher that is based in the Somerset area, with students all over the UK. He is passionate about healthy singing and holds qualifications in singing teaching for CCM music from the specialist vocal college, the Voice College, where he is also a tutor too.
Vocal Coach
Mark is the Master Vocal Coach for River Studio in Southampton and also the vocal coach for Evolved Artist Management, an international artist management company based in Leeds. Mark’s students range from new starters to recording artists
He is also holds qualifications in Musical Theatre and has performed at a wide range of venues around the UK also working with some of the best people in the business on different projects, including lyrics and top line work, studio vocal producing, and also TV appearances.
A firm believer in music should be enjoyed by everyone, Mark also runs ROK!T, a choir open to everyone regardless of experience or ability. ROK!T’s main aim to allow people to enjoy singing, have fun and be part of a group that they can be proud of.
BBC One’s All together Now
In 2018, Mark made his TV debut as one of the featured judges on BBC One’s All together Now, working alongside Ginger Spice, Geri Horner, and comedian Rob Beckett in the infamous 100 judges. After this Mark was also the head of Family James in BBC’s Teen Taxi.
Aside from music Mark is also a published playwright and events producer.
